ny info on tying one. last year had good success on mayflies and daddy long legs patturns.

I have done detached bodies using strips of cork, and tougher still, the quill from the butt end of a wing feather.
Use a magic marker to dye it cream or tan, or to put markings on if you want.

Tie them two ways.
Usual, with legs sticking out and wings up at splayed 45 degrees
And drowned by a wind/wave ... less hackle, lower half circle clipped, wings flat, swept back 45 degrees, legs trailing behind.

The trout take them both ways, but often are particular, and you need both.
